Analysis of Design Principles and Contents of the 2022 Revised Music Curriculum

Abstract
This study aims to deepen understanding of the 2022 revised music curriculum and extract insights for future-oriented music education through a comprehensive analysis of its design principles and components. The overall structure, goals, contents, and achievement standards were analyzed by referring to various curriculum- related documents, literature, theories, and previous studies. The analysis revealed that the 2022 revised music curriculum is founded on the paradigm of active learning. It was found that competencies, core(central) ideas, areas, contents, and achievement standards are organically linked around the music activities in human daily life. Beyond merely presenting educational content, the curriculum document also specified the design principles and emphasized aspects such as applicability, diversity, autonomy, and utilization.
